In 1985, Revo sunglasses emerged from the innovative mind of NASA Astrophysicist and Optical Engineer, Dr. Mitch Ruda. During a project for NASA, Dr. Ruda conceived the ingenious idea of applying coatings designed to shield satellite portholes from space radiation onto sunglasses, thus giving birth to Revo.
The Revo range showcases unisex styles encompassing aviator, rimless, cat eye, shields, and wrap-around silhouettes. LENSES
Revo lenses offer 100% UV protection and meet the Australian and New Zealand standards, with either a category 2 or 3 lens.
Revo's NASA tech sunglasses feature mirror coatings encapsulated between two layers of glass and polished to the standards of a camera lens.
Serillium Photochromic Lenses - Lightweight and high-impact resistant polycarbonate lens that automatically lightens and darkens in changing light conditions.
Crystal Glass Lenses - Ground and polished to the same standard as a camera lens.
Serillium Lenses - Featherlight, impact-resistant nylon lens with stunning clarity.
LENS CATEGORIES
Category 0 - These lenses are classed as fashion spectacles and not sunglasses. They provide limited or no UV protection.
Category 1 - These are not classed as sunglasses. They do provide limited protection from the sun and some UV protection.
Category 2 - Category 2 lenses provide a medium level of sun glare reduction and good UV protection.
Category 3 - Category 3 lenses provide a high level of sun glare protection and good UV protection.
Category 4 - These are special-purpose lenses that must not be used while driving at any time.
